February’s Reading Challenge: Read a Book Set in Australia

February’s Reading Challenge is… read a book set in Australia. The reading challenge fits in nicely with my trip to Australia and the Celebrate Australia giveaway!

The first book I’ve selected is Burning Fields by Alli Sinclair. This historical novel takes place in Queensland right after the end of World War II and I am looking forward to reading about Australian Rosie Stanton’s efforts to revive her family’s sugarcane farm. Italian Tomas Conti has recently emigrated to Australia but his hidden past quickly catches up with him. I am very curious to see what Tomas is hiding and what secrets Rosie is about to unearth about her own family.

My second selection is the second full length book in L.J. Hayward’s Death and the Devil series, Why the Devil Stalks Death I absolutely LOVED Where Death Meets the Devil and I cannot wait to read Jack Reardon’s and Ethan Blade’s newest adventure.

Definitely going with The Lost Man by Jane Harper!
Probably I’ll also read Too Hot for Santa by Helena Stone, another of the DSP Advent Calendar stories
