After living in Idaho, Alaska and South Dakota, I was expecting… a whole lot less snow and warmer temperatures once we moved to New Mexico. Umm, much to my surprise (and dismay), it not only gets cold here, but it also snows!
Fortunately, it took winter a lot longer to find us this year so I was able to enjoy some pretty nice weather before the snow began to fly. And now that the temperatures have dropped, I have the perfect excuse to stay inside, snuggle up with a warm quilt and read a good book!
Are a snow baby? Or would you rather head to the tropics until spring? One lucky commenter will receive a $5.00 gift certificate from Amazon or Barnes & Noble (Winner’s Choice). Contest ends 10 PM mountain time Sunday January 13th

I would rather head to the tropics….lol….I don’t mind winter and cold so much but I hate snow, ice and just the grey days that come with winter – so I would prefer to be somewhere where the Sun is out and I can relax and maybe wear a long sleeve shirt with
I’m most definitely not a snow baby since I’m from the Caribbean but I’d love to experience it sometime!
You know? I do like the snow, it’s just the cold temps I don’t like and traveling on the snowy, icy roads sucks too. We are about to get hit. We will see what tomorrow brings. But if I had a chance to go to the tropics for a vacation? I’m there!
Amazon please if I win.
I left Buffalo, NY for Tenneessee- I lived through the multiple blizzards-sleeping in hospital beds, I was an RN, working 16 on 8 off. So that should explain I prefer mild warm climate
I prefer warmth. If I had the money I would become a snowbird.
I grew up in the hot hot hot desert of Palm Springs. Then I married a man from Washington State and moved to what I considered the tundra! I’d never seen or driven in so much snow! We’ve been married 18 years and have lived in WA, Colorado, back to Palm Springs and now in Northern Nevada (where it is snowing right now). I think Nevada is a happy medium. Nice, cold but still mild winters and sunny summers with Lake Tahoe only minutes away. We have found the ideal place for us and our children. Love it here! So I can do both cold and warm and be just fine. We did however vacation in Roatan, Honduras this past summer and totally fell in love with the Caribbean. I could so have a vacation house there if I win the lotto!
Since we don’t typically get snow OR tropical weather, I wouldn’t mind either! Bring it on!
i would much rather be warm than cold but i dont know about tropical heat i would want weather in the mid 80’s

I don’t mind the snow as long as I don’t have to be somewhere. And of course as long as I have several ebooks to read.

I love winter. I’m definitely a snow baby. I also like it cold. Anything above about 5 degrees is okay with me. When it gets below zero, I usually am a bit less enthused about it.
I love the snow…love to play in it…but also love to just watch it falling.

I like winter. The holidays, cuddling up with the honey watching tv. Not going outside in the heat and mowing the grass or watering the plants. Loved the post! I can’t wait to read all these new books and meet new authors!!!!!Thanks for the giveaway and can’t wait to see what 2013 brings!!!!!!
