Kat, the perky blonde heroine of Flashes Of Me, seems like an unlikely rebel. She’s a bubbly happy person, generous with her smiles and her hugs, unwilling to upset anyone. However, there’s one issue she’s quite stubborn on. She won’t wear black.
Kat promised her dear dad that she wouldn’t wear black. Her sunny yellow suits or hot pink dresses make her executive parent happy. The problem is…Blaine Technologies, the company she has landed an intern position at, has a strict dress code. They prefer that employees wear black suits.
Every day, she wears a different color to work. Every day, someone mentions the dress code. Camille, her buddy, thinks she’ll eventually be fired. But this is one rule that Kat insists upon breaking.
Camille, the green-haired tattooed heroine of Breaking All The Rules, has that approach to ALL rules. She prides herself on being a rule breaker. She views rules, and some laws, as being guidelines that often don’t apply to her specific situation. She can’t resist a locked door. If someone has a secret, she will dig, dig, dig until she uncovers it.
She’s conscious of hurting or disappointing people though. Her green hair, tattoos, multiple piercings are big signs she erects around her that tell the world who she is and what she stands for. No one expects a green-haired Goth girl to follow the rules.
I’m not a rule following gal myself. I don’t break the law but almost every other rule is open for interpretation. One of the reasons I love writing erotic romance is because there are fewer rules. I don’t have to worry about kids reading my scenes as no one under the age of eighteen should be reading my stories. This means heroes can swear without offending readers. I can use the naughty words. My heroines can be more risqué, getting physical before they realize they love their heroes. In my SciFi erotic romances, people die…often quite violently. I feel freer writing erotic romance.
Are you a rule breaker? What is the most interesting rule you’ve broken? Were there any consequences to breaking this rule?
Title: Flashes of Me by Cynthia Sax

Length: 208 pages
Henley, the head of cyber security at Blaine Technologies, is a man no one crosses. He watches employees constantly, using his network of cameras, and enforces his rules by any means possible. Rumors of his violent past, along with his scarred hands and huge size, have resulted in his being feared by everyone … almost everyone.
Katalina, the new intern, worries about the revelation of her most painful secret much more than she fears her sexy boss’s wrath. She sees the loneliness in his dark eyes, feels the gentleness in his marred fingers, tastes the need in his kisses … and she knows he watches her. His silly rules about not stripping for the cameras and no sex at the office are destined to be broken.
Kat likes to be watched. Henley can’t look away. Will this beauty be able to tame her beastly boss?
