Please welcome Collette Cameron to Book Reviews & More by Kathy. For today’s stop on her virtual tour for The Earl’s Enticement, she graciously answered a few “get to know you” questions for us.
Kathy: What book do you recommend everyone should read? Do you have a comfort read?
Hmm, I honestly don’t have any one book that I would recommend to everyone. Tastes are so different. What I think is fabulous, someone else might loathe.
Any historical romance will do quite nicely for a comfort read. Even better yet, is if I have a nice warm throw, a cup of coffee with a dash of crème brulee creamer, and my dachshunds sprawled across my lap. Oh, and I shortbread cookie or two.
Kathy: What is your guilty pleasure?
Only one? Well, if I must choose. . . . A pedicure.
I had my first a couple of years ago, now I’m hooked. Of course if that pedicure were to occur some place romantic, say Paris while eating chocolate, or someplace tropical, say Tahiti, while sipping a strawberry daiquiri, I’d not complain.
Kathy: Favorite meal?
Totally unhealthy and very fattening, but chicken Alfredo or spinach tortellini in Alfredo sauce served with fresh bread sticks and a humongous tossed green salad.
Of course, the meal wouldn’t be complete without Tiramisu and a lovely dessert wine.
And to go along with the question above, I’d like it served on a lovely veranda in Tuscany, please.
Kathy: If you weren’t a writer, what would you be?
A teacher, because that’s what I am.
I teach third grade, though after this year, I’m only going to be teaching very part-time , so I can spend more time writing.
Kathy: If you could time travel, what time period would you visit?
I’d love to visit Scotland and England anywhere in the 1700-1800s. I love both those time periods, though I’d don’t want to pop in during the middle of a war or clan feud.
Kathy: Thank you so much for chatting us with today!
Title: The Earl’s Enticement by Collette Cameron
Publisher: Soul Mate Publishing
Genre: Historical, Romance
Length: 326 pages
Summary:
She won’t be tamed.
A fiery, unconventional Scot, Adaira Ferguson wears breeches, swears, and has no more desire to marry than she does to follow society’s dictates of appropriate behavior. She trusts no man with the secret she desperately protects.
He can’t forget.
Haunted by his past, Roark, The Earl of Clarendon, rigidly adheres to propriety, holding himself and those around him to the highest standards, no matter the cost. Betrayed once, he’s guarded and leery of all women.
Mistaking Roark for a known spy, Adaira imprisons him. Infuriated, he vows vengeance. Realizing her error, she’s appalled and releases him, but he’s not satisfied with his freedom. Roark is determined to transform Adaira from an ill-mannered hoyden to a lady of refinement.
He succeeds only to discover, he preferred the free-spirited Scottish lass who first captured his heart.
