August Reading Challenge: Read a Book Set in a Rural or Country Setting

This month’s reading challenge is… Read a Book Set in a Rural or Country Setting. This does not necessarily mean a western or cowboy novel.

For this challenge, I turned to my TBR pile. I had a difficult time choosing because I love a good cowboy (or cowgirl) novel so once again I had to sift through many, many good selections!

For my mainstream selection, I ultimately ended up choosing Second Chance Cowboy by A.J. Pine. This one does not seem to be the “typical” cowboy/ranch novel and there is also a second chance at love romance. I always like seeing how a previously doomed relationship can be salvaged years later.

For my other selection, I had a hankering for a novel set in rural Australia so I ended up deciding on Ariel Tachna’s Inherit the Sky. I absolutely love novels set on Australia’s sheep stations and since one of the protagonists is American, it should be very interesting to watch the story play out.

Now, it’s your turn. Leave a comment and let us know which book you are going to read this month. We’ll check back in next month and see if you met your challenge and whether or not you enjoyed your selection!

Happy Reading!
