September Reading Challenge: Read a Book with a Medical Professional

September’s Reading is to read a book with either a character who works in the medical field or features a medical setting.

My first selection is The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides. This novel takes place in a secure forensic unit and one of the characters is a criminal psychotherapist who is trying to understand why Alicia Berenson shot her husband and has not spoken since the incident. I have seen rave reviews for this mystery and I am very eager to read it!

The next book I plan to read is Relationship Material by Jenya Keefe. Evan Doyle is a registered nurse who feels like he is too damaged for a relationship. But will his sister’s best friend Malcolm Umbertini be able to change his mind after the two embark on a no strings fling? Ahh, I love a bit of turmoil and angst in my romance novels so I am really looking forward to reading Evan’s and Mal’s story.

Do you enjoy novels with a medical element to the characters or storyline? I am eager to see what book you select for this month’s challenge.

Happy Reading!!

If you participated in last month’s challenge, check out the discussion post HERE and let us know if you met your challenge!

I am going to go with Darkest Hour Before Dawn, book 9 in Charlie Cochet’s THIRDS seris. This has Hudson Colbourn who is chief medic at THIRDS

  2. Book Reviews & More by Kathy

Would you believe I have yet to read any of Charlie Cochet’s novels?!

Ha! Me either up until the last few months for a Goodreads challenge. I have THIRDS OK if a bit ott at times and exhausting too if read close together. I’m not the uber fan a lot of readers seem to be but they have acertain attraction.
