October’s Reading Challenge: An Impulse Buy

October’s Reading Challenge is to read a novel that is an impulse purchase.

I am usually pretty cautious when selecting books to read. For the most part, I tend to be little hesitant with debut or new to me authors. But sometimes the summary is so good I’ll throw caution to the wind and impulsively make a purchase. And that’s exactly what I did with this month’s challenge selection.

The book I selected for this month’s challenge is The Lakehouse by Joe Clifford. I just happened to see the book in my Goodreads’ feed and I liked the cover enough to read check out the summary. The lead character is suspected and cleared of his wife’s murder and he then makes a decision that I suspect he ends up regretting. I am very eager to see how this mystery unfolds.

I am looking forward to your selection!
Happy Reading!!

I am going to read The Long Call by Ann Cleeves.
I bought this as it is by the author of a series called Vera which is on UK TV and is set in Newcastle where my son goes to Uni.
This series is set in Devon and is a police/murder investigation – just my thing so I thought I would give it a whirl!!!

Libro.fm suggested I am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter by Erika L. Sanchez. A YA novel, not a romance.
