May Reading Challenge: Novel in a Genre You Rarely Read

May’s Reading Challenge is to read a novel in a Genre You Rarely Read.

I absolutely love historical novels-both mysteries and romances. But I have a hard time finding historical novels that catch my fancy. Which is why I was so excited to see Annabelle Greene’s new series, Society of Beasts. The first book in the series, The Vicar and the Rake, has everything I like in a gay historical romance. The story is set in the country and the main characters are complete opposites. Gabriel Winters is a hardworking vicar living a quiet life in country. Edward Stanhope loves creating scandal and he is on the run because someone wants him dead. I am very excited to read their romance.

I am looking forward to your selection!
Happy Reading!!

Scifi – not really my thing!
But I do have a Matthew Metzger one – Like the First Moon Landing – I do enjoy his writing, usually as it is set in the UK and his written voice is relatable – will see how I get on with outer space!

Scifi is not my thing either. But I’ve surprised myself with how much I LOVE books where artificial intelligence is the main part of the storyline.

Hope you enjoy it. I like Matthew Metzger.
