December Reading Challenge Discussion

December’s Reading Challenge was old and new.

I selected Chris Hammer’s latest release, Treasure and Dirt for last month’s challenge. Unfortunately, I had a serious health issue that affected me a couple of weeks before ending up in the hospital. All of which means I didn’t have the opportunity of read Treasure and Dirt 🙁

    I read Blind Tiger by Jordan L Hawk – new series/old author.
    Enjoyed the Hexworld books, and this is set in a similar environment.
    Based around Chicago prohibition speakeasy’s in the 1920’s with the talk, the flappers, the dances, the alcohol – add in a bit of magic, and hey presto! a great read.
    Both MC’s surviving despite the odds stacked against them, lots of good secondary characters in their found family – looking forward to more.
