September Reading Challenge: A Book with a Colorful Cover

September’s Reading Challenge is to read a novel with a colorful cover.

Isn’t the cover of Michael Bennett’s Better the Blood gorgeous??? I love the extra details on the tree trunk & some of the tree, too.

I seem to be hopping across the ocean as I select my books. From Australia to Shetland Island and now to New Zealand. This mystery is set in Auckland and features a Māori detective who is also a single mother. The addition of serial killer sealed the deal when selecting this month’s challenge book!

I am looking forward to your selection!
Happy Reading!!

If you participated in last month’s challenge, check out the discussion post HERE and let us know if you met your challenge!

I used to read a lot of her books too. The book cover definitely fits this month’s Reading Challenge.
