July Reading Challenge: Read a Novel Which Features a Musician

I confess. I find musicians intriguing and just a teensiest, tiny bit sexy. So this month’s challenge is to read a novel which features a musician.

My first selection is the Can’t Walk Away, the first book in Sandy James’ Nashville Dreams series. I really enjoyed Ms. James’ Ladies Who Lunch series and since I am also a country music fan, the Nashville Dreams series immediately caught my eye. I’m hoping I’ll have the chance to read the other two books in the series too, but July is a busy month for me so I might not have time.

My other choice is Riven by Roan Parrish. I have been dying to read this one for a LONG time and I cannot wait to dive in. I loved the Middle of Somewhere series so I was delighted to discover Riven is the first book in a new series too. Book two, Rend is due to release in late November.

I hope that I am not the only reader who enjoys novels which feature musicians and you will join me for this month’s Reading Challenge!

Ah, now I am a big fan of musician stories – not sure why really. Generally I give them a big swerve.
So having trawled my tbr, I am having to go for a reread – using the short Speechless by Kim Fielding.

I really enjoy live concerts so I think that’s why I tend to gravitate to books which feature them. I really enjoy Kim Fielding, so I’ll have to see if Speechless is in my TBR. Hope you enjoy the re-read!

I don’t see anything on my TBR with musicians. There are a couple of re-reads featuring musicians:
In the Key Of, by Willa Okati
    Social Skills, by Sara Alva

Oooh, I have In the Key Of, so I’ll have to try to work it in soon. I love Will Okait.

I have not heard of Sara Alava, so I am off to check out her backlist!

Hope you enjoy the re-reads. Let us know if you find anything you didn’t notice the first time you them.
