Summary:
When Lacey Billings gives her boyfriend, Ran, an erotic wake-up call in the middle of the night, she’s shocked to discover that the gorgeous man she’s kissing isn’t Ran…it’s his cousin, Rick.
Although Ran laughs off the mix-up, Lacey and Rick can’t stop thinking about the unexpected encounter, and they can’t escape the scorching flashbacks it’s aroused.
Ran doesn’t want an innocent mistake to ruin his relationship with his girlfriend or his cousin, so he proposes a solution. He wants the three of them to solve this problem the old-fashioned way, by sleeping on it…together.

The Review:
The Best Mistake by Kate Watterson is a satisfying short story that is wonderfully steamy. A case of mistaken identity provides Lacey Billings and her boyfriend Ran the opportunity to live out a fantasy with unanticipated results.
The Best Mistake is a charming romance with marvelously developed characters. Lacey, Ran and Rick are likable and three dimensional. Their shared history provides enough of a back story to make the plot believable. The sex scenes are passionate and sexy but not overly graphic or what I would consider to be erotic.
The Best Mistake is a wonderfully unconventional romance with a surprising amount of depth. Kate Watterson takes the story in an unexpected but delightful direction. If you like books with a little extra spice, then you are sure to enjoy The Best Mistake.
