Summary:

How much is worth risking?

Gabe Sullivan risks his life every day as a firefighter in San Francisco, but he knows better than to risk giving his heart again. Especially not to the woman he saved from a deadly apartment fire and can’t stop thinking about.

Megan Harris owes everything to the heroic firefighter who saved her and her daughter. Everything except her heart. Because after losing her pilot husband, she has vowed to never suffer through loving and losing a man with a dangerous job again.

But when Gabe and Megan meet again, how can he possibly ignore her courage, determination and beauty? And how can she deny not only his strong bond with her daughter but also his sweetly sensual kisses, challenging her to risk everything she’s been guarding for so long?

The Review:

Can’t Help Falling in Love is another sweet and very steamy love at first sight romance in Bella Andre’s The Sullivans series. This installment is firefighter Gabe Sullivan’s story and it is sure to delight old and new fans of the series.

There is an instant attraction between Gabe Sullivan and Megan Harris but neither is ready for a relationship. A previous ill-fated romance with a woman he rescued has Gabe steering clear of women he meets on the job. Megan is a widow who only dates men in safe jobs after her adrenaline seeking husband’s death. They agree to keep their distance but an unexpected connection brings them back together and they are then thrown together by Megan’s matching-making daughter, Summer.

Can’t Help Falling in Love is a well-written novel, but it is predictable. As in the previous books in The Sullivans series, there is an “insta-love” quality to Megan and Gabe’s romance. Much of their time is spent in bed, and their love scenes are quite detailed, long and drawn-out. There are few surprises for the reader as the story progresses towards the expected happily ever after.

But there are a few differences that make Can’t Help Falling in Love stand out from the other books in the series. Gabe’s occupation as a fireman is a refreshing change from his über successful and wealthy brothers Marcus and Chase. Gabe is initially hesitant to get involved with Megan because of his past, but he works through his issues fairly early on in the story.

Megan is mature and level-headed but she has a blind spot when it comes to Gabe’s career. While she is perfectly content to have casual relationship with him, she has no intention of getting emotionally involved with Gabe. Megan takes most of the novel to work through her reservations and while I understood where she coming from, it was frustrating that it took her so long to figure things out.

What really makes Can’t Help Falling Love unique is Megan’s daughter, Summer. She is an adorable addition to the cast of characters and I really enjoyed her scenes with Gabe. She is precocious and maybe a bit mature for a seven year old, but I liked the depth she added to the overall plot.

Can’t Help Falling in Love is a light, angst free addition to the The Sullivans series. Bella Andre perfectly sets up the next book in series with an enticing epilogue featuring sister Sophie and her love interest Jake.

Expanded Edition! More Story! More Sullivans!

Fans of Bella Andre’s Sullivan Series will love this long-awaited print edition of FROM THIS MOMENT ON. It features a longer, more-detailed story with all the emotion and sensuality that readers love. Not to be missed!

Just one night…

Marcus Sullivan has always been the responsible older brother, stepping in to take care of his seven siblings when their father died. But when the perfectly ordered future he’s planned turns out to be a lie, Marcus needs one reckless night to shake free from it all.

Known throughout the world by only one name—Nico—pop songstress Nicola Harding is seen as the ultimate sex kitten. But it’s all a lie. After a terrible betrayal she refuses to let anyone else close enough to find out who she really is…or to hurt her again. Especially the gorgeous stranger at the bar.

One night is all Nicola and Marcus agree to share with each other. But instead, a deeper connection than either of them could have anticipated begins…

The Review:

If I had to pick one word to describe From This Moment On I would have to choose “unpredictable”. This second installment in The Sullivans series is full of delightful surprises beginning with Marcus Sullivan and Nicola Harding’s first encounter and author Bella Andre keeps them coming through the rest of their sweet yet steamy romance.

Both Marcus and Nicola make a split second decision to step out of their comfort zone and hit a local hotspot. Their attraction to one another is scorching hot and they embark on a one night stand that does not go exactly as Marcus and Nicola planned. When an unexpected connection brings them together, Marcus and Nicola give in to their passion for one another, but they soon discover one night is not enough to fulfill their desire.

I had a lot of reservations about From This Moment On, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I ended up enjoying the story. I did not care too much for Nicola at first, but she won me over by the end of her first meeting with Marcus. I was initially concerned about how their age difference would affect the overall story, but thankfully, it is pretty much a non-issue.

The biggest obstacle for me to overcome in From This Moment On is the “insta-love” between Nicola and Marcus. Considering that Marcus just ended a long term relationship, I really did not think I could overlook how quickly they fell in love with each other. But Ms. Andre beautifully redeems this part of the storyline with an astute observation from Nicola that puts a new perspective on his previous relationship. The “aww, how sweet” plan Marcus comes up with to win Nicola’s heart just sealed the deal for me.

An overall engaging story, From This Moment On is light read that is sure to delight old and new fans of Bella Andre’s heartwarming series starring the Sullivan family.

Expanded Edition! More Story! More Sullivans!

Fans of Bella Andre’s Sullivan Series will love this long-awaited print edition of THE LOOK OF LOVE. It features a longer, more-detailed story with all the emotion and sensuality that readers love. Not to be missed!

Sometimes one look is all it takes

Chloe Peterson has vowed never to make the mistake of trusting a man again. Her reasons are as vivid as the bruises on her cheek. So when her car skids off a wet country road straight into a ditch, she’s convinced the gorgeous guy who rescues her must be too good to be true.

As a successful international photographer, Chase Sullivan has his pick of beautiful women. He’s satisfied with his life—until he finds Chloe and her totaled car on the side of the road in Napa Valley.

With every loving look—and every sinfully sweet caress—the attraction between them sizzles, and Chloe can’t help but wonder if she’s met the man who may be the exception to her rule….

The Review:

The Look of Love is a wickedly sexy romance and fun first installment in Bella Andre’s The Sullivans series. Brief introductions to the Sullivan siblings set the stage for future stories in the series, but this first novel brings readers Chase Sullivan and Chloe Peterson’s whirlwind romance after Chase rescues the stranded Chloe during a storm.

Chase is absolutely wonderful-sweet, sexy, charming and devilishly good looking. He is pretty well-grounded despite the early loss of his father and he is very close to his extended family. Chase is also very intuitive and he not only recognizes, but respects, Chloe’s obvious reluctance to trust a stranger. He is exceedingly patient with her as she works through her issues and he lets her guide their relationship.

Given Chloe’s experience with her abusive ex-husband, she is very skittish and cautious around Chase in the beginning. She is slow to trust Chase, but she eventually relaxes her guard and gives in to her intense attraction to him. While she may not be ready for a relationship she is on board with a no strings fling and they exuberantly explore their desire for one another.

The Look of Love takes place over a few days which gives an “insta-love” feel to Chase and Chloe’s relationship. I did like them as a couple, but their romance feels rushed. Chloe has some serious problems to overcome and her trust issues are resolved really fast.

Despite a few reservations, The Look of Love is an enjoyable read that is fast paced and engaging with deliciously steamy sex scenes. Bella Andre beautifully develops the characters and her intriguing glimpses of Marcus leave me eagerly awaiting From This Moment On, the next novel in The Sullivans series.
