Summary:
Why did Lauren Vaughn introduce her sister to the man she herself was crazy about? Now Lauren is watching the happy couple at their combined bachelor/bachelorette party–while Lauren sits all alone at the bar. Until she spots a hot stranger with the telltale black handkerchief in his pocket: the signal for “seeks no-strings affair with sexy submissive.” Lauren can’t take her eyes off him. So when he comes over, she kicks her inner good girl to the curb and follows Jamie Forman to his room, where he makes her scream with pleasure all night long.
But Jamie is a complicated man. He can’t handle how desperately he wants her in his bed–and his life. It’s up to Lauren to teach him how to make all night last forever.

The Review:
Wicked Weekend by Gillian Archer is a super sexy novella that provides a fascinating look into the world of BDSM. Lauren Vaughn’s weekend takes an erotic turn when she catches the eye of Dom Jamie Forman.
Lauren is a complex and interesting character. She has a complicated relationship with her sister Crystal and she has not quite gotten over her crush on Crystal’s fiancé Pierce. And yet she is still willing to act on her attraction to Jamie despite her insecurities about both her body and acting out her fantasies.
There is a surprising amount of depth to Jamie’s character. At first glance, he is a self-assured and self confident Dom who has complete control in the bedroom. However, it quickly becomes apparent he has underlying issues that must be dealt with before he and Lauren can have a successful relationship.
While Wicked Weekend is an overall well-written and enjoyable story, the characters are sometimes difficult to like or relate to. Crystal and Pierce do not have any redeeming qualities. Lauren’s self-doubts become a bit repetitive. The changes to Jamie’s character are abrupt and completely unexpected.
Wicked Weekend is the perfect introduction for someone who is curious about BDSM. The sex scenes are a bit on the kinky side, but not hardcore BDSM. Gillian Archer brings the novella to a rather sweet and romantic ending.
