My two greatest passions, reading and bull riding, collided last week in Las Vegas! How? I hear you asking. Well, let me tell you! Obviously, I love reading, but what you might not know (if all those western romances I review haven’t provided a clue ;)) is that I am a HUGE fan of rodeos and bull riding. Every year, usually in late October, the PBR is in Las Vegas for the World Finals and devoted fan that I am, so am I! To my absolute delight, this year western authors Laura Drake, Melissa Cutler and Cat Johnson were also in Vegas, and I am thrilled to say, I was lucky enough to meet them!
Laura Drake is the author of the Sweet on a Cowboy series and I absolutely LOVED the first book in the series, The Sweet Spot (reviewed HERE). Nothing Sweeter, the second book in the series, will be available January 28, 2014.
If you are a fan of biker chicks, then you will want to pick up a copy of Her Road Home.
Visit Ms. Drake’s website for more information.
Melissa Cutler is the author of the Catcher Creek series set in the great state of New Mexico (yes, a shameless boast for the state I currently reside in :)). I reviewed the second book in the series, Cowboy Justice (found HERE), and I fell in love the characters and the setting. How to Rope a Real Man, the third book in the series, will be available May 6, 2014.
If you are fan of romantic suspense, then you should take a peek at her Harlequin novels.
Visit Ms. Cutler’s website for more information.
Cat Johnson is the author of the Oklahoma Nights series and I have absolutely LOVED the first two books in the series (find my reviews HERE). The third book in the series, Three Weeks with a Bull Rider, will be available March 25, 2014.
In addition to her two cowboy series (Click HERE for the Studs in Spurs series), Ms. Johnson is also the author of a very popular military series, Red, Hot, & Blue which you can find HERE.
Visit Ms. Johnson’s website for more information.
This week’s contest is for an autographed print copy of One Night with a Cowboy, book one of the Oklahoma Nights series and an autographed Cat Johnson tote. I would like to thank Ms. Johnson for her generosity in donating this week’s prizes. Contest is open to US addresses ONLY.
Title: One Night with a Cowboy by Cat Johnson
Oklahoma Nights Series Book One
Genre: Contemporary, Romance
Length: 320 pages
One Sweet Ride. . .
Oh yeah. A single look at the leggy blonde in the stands and Tucker Jenkins is ready to buck all night long. It’s time to forget all about his cheating ex and his usual hands off policy.
One Hot Night. . .
Becca Hart is an East Coast professor. Not a buckle bunny. But no degree can prepare her for the moves of the sexy bull rider she hooks up with at her first rodeo. . .or the shock of finding him at her first Oklahoma State University staff meeting.
One Happy Ending. . .
Tuck knows it’s all about holding on, no matter how wild the ride. Now he just has to convince Becca that a rough start out of the chute doesn’t mean they aren’t a smokin’ combination. . .

This book sounds great, I love westerns and cowboys. I grew up watching westerns with my dad while I was growing up, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, High Chapperal, Rawhide, just to name a few. But they were nothing like these romance novels, lol. Thanks for the giveaway.
One night with a cowboy sounds really good.
So glad you had such a good time! I think it’s great you got to combine two of your passions! Wish I could have been there. Hope to see you in Oklahoma next year! Thanks for the giveaway!
It’s been so long since I’ve read a book with a cowboy in it. This sounds like a good book to pick up with. Thank you for the giveaway =)
I’ve been curious about Cat Johnson’s books!
I LOVED One Night With a Cowboy! It had humor and heart. I have it in ebook version out would totally love to have a signed copy. Cat Johnson is one of my favorite contemporary western authors. And this book had it all- western and military! Just thinking of Tucker makes me sigh…
Thanks Kathy! So jealous not only did you go to PBR in Vegas, but you met some really great authors too. If you are ever in Reno in June we could go to the Reno Rodeo together. I have a hard time finding people to go with me. It is 10 days of amazing rodeo, plus it is the official beginning of Cowboy Christmas! So much fun! 🙂
One night with a cowboy sounds really good.
I would love to win this. I love Cat Johnson’s books.
One Night With a Cowboy sounds AWESOME!. Glad you got to meet those authors. I’m reading Melissa’s books right now. I won her second in the series and now I’m reading the first and waiting for the third. Looking forward to reading Cat’s series as well.
I would love to read this book! It sounds great. 🙂
Reading and bull riding!?! Those two seem very far apart, but I guess I can’t talk. I also love to read and my other passion is ice hockey!
This looks so good!
Thanks for the giveaway!
